I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
